TheE.D.C.is the reel youll grab without thinking twice built tough, priced right, and ready to fish every single day. With acast aluminum frame, its lightweight and durable enough to handle daily abuse without breaking the bank. This is Bates’ most utilitarian reel yet no frills, no fuss, just dependable performance on and off the water. But what really sets the E.D.C. apart is whats under the hood: our all-newDigitally Assisted Brake (D.A.B.)system.This isnt your average cast control. The E.D.C. uses a built-in digital chip and electromagnetic braking toautomatically adjust the brake in real-timeas you cast. It senses spool speedthousands of times per secondand applies just the right amount of resistance at every stage harder at high speeds to stop backlash, lighter at low speeds to give you extra distance. And its completelyself-powered no batteries, no charging, just smart braking when you need it.Whether you’re bombing casts at first light or sneaking in a few after work, the E.D.C. gives you reliable performance and smooth control, all day, every day.
