Black Elk Hair Caddis Dry Fly A high-floating classic for dark caddis hatches.

The Black Elk Hair Caddis Dry Fly is a timeless pattern that imitates adult caddisflies and excels when trout are keyed in on darker insects. Its buoyant elk hair wing ensures the fly rides high and skitters naturally, while the black body creates a strong silhouette in low-light or stained water. Palmered hackle adds extra flotation and surface disturbance, making it effective in both fast riffles and calm pools. Durable and versatile, this fly continues to be a must-have for anglers looking for consistent topwater action during caddis hatches.
