These days, most minnows employ a low centre of gravity to create stability; however, the Shizuku 62V was designed for speed, as speed is key to enticing the strike. The Shizuku has a strong darting action when twitched, and at speed can move through obstructions, creating noise and vibration, tempting fish to strike. Its weight balance is crucial to its swimming action and has been designed for specific specifications to obtain the required action while being conscious of keeping its tight action using its coffin-shaped lip.

The Jackson Shizuku 62V body is constructed with flat surfaces, which create various angles to reflect light and flash when retrieved, and with its slim baitfish profile, it attracts a wide variety of fish species.
