RIO Skagit Leader 4.5′ Powerful turnover for heavy flies and Skagit systems.

The RIO Skagit Leader is purpose-built for casting large, heavy flies with Skagit shooting head systems. At 4.5 feet, its short length and abrupt taper provide maximum power transfer, ensuring smooth and efficient turnover of the bulkiest streamers and sink-tipped setups. Unlike level tippet, which can create a hinging effect that hampers casting, the Skagit Leader eliminates that problem for clean, controlled presentations. Tough and reliable, its the ultimate tapered leader for anglers who demand performance when swinging big flies on big water.
