Savegear Sandeel Pencil has truly become one of our favorite fjord baits.

This is because it is easy to fish high in the water, which makes it super useful in places with shallow water depth. The Sandeel Pencil is equipped with “rattle balls”, which are known from predator fishing – whether that is what makes it so good, we don’t know, but it is at least fantastic when darkness begins to set in.

In addition, it moves very well in the water, with a clear S curve that can lure the shy sea trout into the bite. The fact that it is permanently mounted works excellently and the hooking properties are top notch.

NOTE: The 13 gram version does not have the extra “ring” on the belly to mount a hook.
