Westin Salty 18g 9cm UV Motoroil Long-Casting Sea Trout Lure for Irish Waters

The Westin Salty is one of Westins most proven and versatile coastal lures, designed to perform in the challenging conditions often faced by Irish sea trout anglers. With its streamlined, baitfish profile and balanced weight distribution, this lure casts exceptionally welleven into strong onshore winds.

Extremely adaptable in how it can be fished, the Westin Salty can be worked fast or slow, fished high in the water over shallow ground, or slowed right down with subtle rod-tip twitches and pauses. This flexibility makes it effective throughout the year, from cold winter sessions to summer night fishing when larger trout move in close to shore.

Why It Works for Irish Anglers

Sea trout fishing in Ireland often involves wind-exposed beaches, shallow bays, and changing light conditions. The Westin Salty excels in these environments by offering excellent casting distance and a subtle, fish-attracting action that continues to produce when trout are cautious. Its ability to fish slowly makes it especially effective in colder water, while the larger sizes shine during summer night sessions.

Perfect For

• Sea trout fishing along the Irish coast
• Fishing shallow bays, beaches, and estuaries
• Windy conditions where long casting is essential
• Slow winter retrieves or faster summer presentations
